Bella's Blessing

We blessed Bella on February 26th 2008. We decided to do it in our home since she had just gotten over RSV for the second time and we were paranoid first time parents.
It was a beautiful day. Bella kind of had a tough time because she was sick to her stomach as we hadn't yet figured out that she can't tolerate soy or dairy and I was still breastfeeding at the time.
Lance gave her a beautiful blessing which we kind of heard...Bella was screaming through the entire thing.

Introducing Mr. Rubber Ducky

The first time we showed Bella her rubber ducky. As you can tell she's not quite sure about what to think.
She started to warm up though.
Then she decided that rubber ducky might be delicious and decided to suck on him.

Silly Bella...

Okay so maybe it's not Bella that's silly. More like her crazy parents. The things kids have to put up with when they can't defend themselves.

2 months old!

Bella is 2 months old in this picture and she was finally fitting into the newborn clothes pretty well. Doesn't Lance look like such a sweetie!

Girl's day out!

I'm taking a break on updating Bella's pics.
This last Saturday me, 2 of my sisters, our soon to be sister in law and mom had an awesome girls day out. I don't have any pics of us yet but I will update with one soon.
We did a temple session in Ogden then we went to my sister house and hung out while Tiff and Lora picked pears.
Then we went and stuffed ourselves at Olive Garden.
We then rushed to Salt Lake to make it to the Relief Society conference which was amazing.
The day went too fast as it always does on our girl's day.

Bath Time!

I love this picture!
She is the cutest little chunk. She may have been tiny when she was born but she caught up fast.
She loves bath time now!

Bella's first Christmas!

Lance holding Bella inside of his enormous Christmas stocking that he grew up with.
Just chillin' with my Grandma Gerber.
Yes they are both wearing hats made out of tinfoil. Why? you ask...because we are silly. My brother Josh wrapped every one's gifts that year with tinfoil so we had lots to play with when we were done unwrapping the gifts.

Back from the hospital!

Yay! She's home! She's still on oxygen but doing so much better.

Back to the hospital!

On Dec. 5th 2007 we had to check Bella back into the hospital. She had RSV. The nurses said that Bella was the first check in for the RSV season and she was the sickest baby there with RSV. We were there for six days. Luckily the hospital set up so that I could stay in the same room with Bella the whole time. Lance still had to work but he was there everyday at the hospital to check in. He is the man! It was scary to have such a sick baby but we also had the comfort of having Lance be able to give her many priesthood blessings. We are so blessed and thankful to have the church in our lives!

Bella was such a trooper!
A very exauhsted Daddy with his baby girl.

Lace, lace and more lace!

Bella is about 3 weeks old here. She is wearing a dress that Lance's mom got her. I've never seen a dress with so much lace!

Just a couple of weeks old.

She's still so tiny!
Me and my best bud Shiann with Bella and Haylee.
We grew up together and were best friends pretty much all through school then we ended up having babies only a month apart.

Grandpas, Grandmas and Great Grandmas

We are so lucky to have such a wonderful family. Bella has so many people that love her (not to mention she has got us all wrapped around her little finger).

Bella's Great Grandma Nelson and Grandma Gerber. It's so much fun that Bella gets to have a great grandma.

My always beautiful mom with Bella the first week she was home from the hospital. Luckily my mom came to help that week. I would have been lost without her!

Lance's sweet Mom at the hospital. I think this was the day after she was born.

Grandpa Gerber holding Bella when she was just a couple of weeks old.

First bath

The picture kind of says it all.
This was Bella's very first bath. Well kind of. It was a sponge bath. We didn't even put her in water but she cried the whole time.

Coming home from the hospital!

When we were getting Bella ready to come home from the hospital we put her in her car seat and were blown away by how tiny she was!
We had to have a nurse come in and help us get the car seat straps adjusted small enough....first time parents...we were kind of clueless.

Isabella Jane Gerber

My water broke at about 6am but I didn't go in to hard labor until probably 4 or 5pm. It was a really easy labor....as labors go.
Bella was born at 7:12 pm on Nov. 5th 2007.
5 lb.8oz. 18in. long

Proud Daddy!

Our Wedding August 15th 2006

We Just Celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary...Yay!
Our wedding was on a beautiful, perfect day. It rained in the morning while we were in the Bountiful Temple but when we came out the sky was blue and the sun was shinning. Everything was green and sparkling with moisture. It was such a happy day!
